2025 Reflections and Celebrations

And so we enter the season of reflection and celebration.

Every year I choose a word to be my theme for the year ahead. This word encompasses the things I want to focus on, cultivate, learn, and pour my energy into in the coming year.

For 2025 I chose the word "Home".

Since then,

• My husband and I moved into a new home
• We've created a warm, cozy, and inviting space where we entertain family and friends often and lovingly
• I became the first home for our baby (and if we were to classify said home, I/it was definitely a mansion)
• We welcomed our stunningly beautiful and wonderfully healthy daughter. Upon her birth the meaning of "home" changed to wherever she is
• I got to name her a name I've been saving for my daughter since I was 10 or 12 years old
• For the first time we are hosting Christmas and bringing our families together to celebrate in a few days.
• There is so much to celebrate this year. I feel rich in every sense of the word. Some aches and pains aside, I can honestly say it's been a really really fun year!

Why am I posting about home and what does this have to do with career? Everything.

Home is the foundation. Home is my sanctuary. Home is my rock.

This year was about the basics. With a strong base, everything else built on top may rise to new heights from a position of power.

I feel more at peace than I ever have and I am excited to use this feeling as a launchpad for big things in 2026. Building a home and becoming a mother has not dulled my ambition, it's amplified it.
